A screenwriter and journalist, Evgenia Peretz co-wrote the recent movie Juliet, Naked (starring Ethan Hawke, Rose Byrne, and Chris O’Dowd), which was adapted from the Nick Hornby novel. She co-wrote the 2011 movie Our Idiot Brother, which starred Paul Rudd and Elizabeth Banks. As a longtime contributing editor at Vanity Fair, Evgenia has written over sixty features for the magazine on a wide range of subjects in media, politics, and the arts, including Georgetown Prep, Gay and Nan Talese, Megyn Kelly, Melania Trump, Silvio Berlusconi, Francois Hollande, Al Gore, Sally Quinn, James Frey, and Donna Tartt. Her article “High Noon in Crawford,” about President Bush’s presence in Crawford, Texas, was anthologized in Best American Political Writing 2006. Her work appears in the recent anthologies Schools for Scandal (Simon and Schuster)and Vanity Fair’s Writers on Writers (Penguin). She is an adjunct professor at the NYU School of Journalism.
